How to Whack Your Way Out of the Weeds

Do you, every once in a while, feel overwhelmed by ALL you have to do? If so, take heed – managing your stress can save your sanity!

In the restaurant industry, servers and cooks who cannot keep up with customer demands are “weeded.”

WEEDED:

1) To have too much to do. 2) To not be able to keep up or accomplish all the tasks set before you. 3) A feeling or act of being behind in one’s work. 4) A very bad place. i.e. “I have too many tables, I’m very weeded!” or “No hands I’m weeded up bad” or “I’m so deep in the weeds I can’t see the light!”

Life in the Weeds

At this moment I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed.  Too much to do, not enough time; priorities piled on priorities; and then, along comes something else – a very important something – and, TA DA! – I’m weeded… with no weed-whacker in sight.
