It was, apparently, an exhausting weekend!

As I started to write this morning I was looking around for a topic. It’s not that I don’t have ideas about general topics I could write about but nothing inspired me. Then it hit me, right between the eyes, sometimes life just tires you out. It’s not that anything in particular has happened, at least not in the last 48 hours, but I’m worn out.

A Break from Responsibility

I’ve made a decision.  I’m going to be irresponsible – at least for a little while.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I just feel stuck.  Life goes on day-to-day, some days good, some not so good.  The interesting thing is that here I am in the middle of this new blog venture, and yet I’m looking for some major change that will make me feel “better.”

On Recovery

Fire damageWe live in earthquake country.

And wildfire country.

And mudslide country.

And, most of the time, we “forget about it.”

We watch once-blackened hillsides go green with regrowth and revel in the wildflowers that grace our mountains and deserts.

But Not This Week

The first earthquake got our attention with a “BOOM!” and heart-stopping jolt … and then – nothing more. No damage done inside or out.
