Sabbatical

The first thing that has to be said is, we truly enjoy what we’re doing with this website.  We like learning how to improve ourselves, and we like sharing that knowledge with others.  This is very much a mutual journey of discovery and change, of evaluation and solutions.  And just as we see readers come and go as their lives and choices dictate, we have reached a point where we must step back and plan the next phase of our blogging lives.

But wait!  This is not a goodbye, teary or otherwise.  As the title indicates: this is a sabbatical:

a sabbatical (from Latin sabbaticus, literally a “ceasing”) is a rest from work, or a hiatus, often lasting from two months to a year.

There are things we want and need to do that require a sizeable commitment of time in order to accomplish, and that time must come from somewhere.

So, here’s our promise to you: we will be back August 1st with a new look, new offerings and a new way of presenting solutions and support to you, our valued readers.

And until that date, all of the articles we’ve written over the last nearly four years will be available to you to re-read and enjoy.  And if the urge to immediately share some new technique or insight becomes too great, we might even sneak a new article in here and there.  (Hint: If you sign up for the weekly newsletter now you won’t miss out on any new articles.)

Thank you for sharing your time with us, and we’ll see you back here before you know the time has passed.

Like what you see? Sign up now for our free “Week in Review”.

Take a short break and consider the following:

“Getting away from it all might be the only way you can really reset or change course. If you continue around the day-to-day, making significant changes is tough. Taking a few months off will give you the space you need to figure things out.”
